Disclosed is a germicidal UV radiation device for disinfecting pathogens in drinking water without electricity using a hand-held bowl provided with a nanoscale silver coating that produces UV radiation powered only by body heat from the palm of the hand. The source of UV radiation embodies a bowl with a 100 nm silver coating at the water interface that converts body heat into UVC radiation having a wavelength of about 254 nm to disinfect the water in the bowl of pathogens.
Need a manufacturer to apply a 100 nanometer silver coating to (1) the inside surface of a hand-held aluminum bowl, or (2) to a suitable thin (< 20 micron) and flat 15 cm diameter substrate which can be pressed into the inside of the bowl.
